OK, so i guess i'm not that good at this! Here's attempt 2:
So i'll just update to all what Reubs and I have been up to. We arrived in Canada about 3 weeks ago i guess, to -30 temps, still in our jandals from Taiwan (which was awesome) and it's been snowing since we got here! We fianlly sorted out our oven the other day so now we can bake muffins and pies. And cheese scones! We decided to drive from Vancouver to Lake Loiuse (which by the way, is quite far!) Ooh yeah we also have a fooseball table in our lounge! Yeah, it was in the house - Awesome! We somehow got super lucky and are in our own house, away from the massive housing lodge (which mostly contains 18-year olds who have never seen snow before - over half are aussies -aah)...We had training for a few days - here's a pic of the base building which is a massive log cabin. The best part of training is gondola evac

You get to ride down the cable and climb onto the roof of the cabin, then climb down, kick open the doors and lower the people inside one by one! They had to do one for real last year!
So, after training (by this stage reubs was working his ass off walking to the summit everyday from half way and digging all day) i got to go touring in the backcountry for a couple of days...

OK, well we haven't got a phone yet (useless) but write comments or email.
xx Kat and Reubs

Yay I'm so stoked you guys have a blog now :-)
Yee HAW!!! THat is looking sick!!! Nice work Reubs on the skiing, i think i may have to head down that road this season as well. Done with the degree FINALLY!!! Just trimming hedges now and trying to get down to Aspiring to climb the southwest ridge with Mike Atkinson. I really hope that works out 'cause i really want to climb down there, and that route is classic.
Going to spend a couple days at Tahoe after NYE, then driving up to Mt. Bachelor in Oregon for another couple of days, then going to find some sort of job. My high school friends and I are going to rent out a condo at Whistler sometime in early march for a long weekend, so be prepared to come out west and rage it hard. From the looks of it going to have to come out and play a game of Foos with y'all.
Peace!
